I'm sure that when you get to OCS, no matter how hard you've prepared - you're not in the shape you should be. My question is, does it get better as you go along, or do they drop the run times as you progress keeping it hard the whole time through? I remember in HS the first few weeks of basketball practice always sucked (no matter how hard you prepared), but after that it was a breeze. Any relavance?

That is exactly what I tell people when they ask about OCS.

As far as your question...I would say that you just get accustomed to the suck and as it begins to suck more, you don't notice as much. At least that's how I felt. I know by the time I left I was (relatively speaking) screaming on the runs. We started out at a fast pace and worked up to a breakneck pace. But after doing it for a few weeks it didn't seem too noticeable.

They make it progressively harder as you go along, but I agree with Crowbar, you get so used to the pain, or ever-changing situations, that you become numb. Before you know it you'll be running the final PFT and wonder where the time went. The best way I can describe it is the days drag on, but the weeks fly by.

Good luck
