guys and gal's i need a round about figure from the time you submitted your package for ocs until the time you herd back from the selection board to the time you departed to go to ocs.....please.

my wife and i aren't sure how long we will have to wait or an average of how long it will take once i get the orders to my report date. just trying to do the impossible and map out when we can be expected to leave this rainy state and get back to the sunshine.

and an O-5 and i were wondering is OCS still in pensacola or newport???

thanks everyone

There is no number that would help you because everyone is different. From reading AW I've heard of a few days to many months. Your orders will say your reporting date for OCS.

OCS is in Newport.

I took the ASTB August 1, 2007

Submitted package late August 07, but just missed being on the September board.

Got Pro-Rec'ED October 17, 2007

Got the Final Select call on December 17th 2007.

Will be in OCS February 2nd, 2008.

So, from the day I took the ASTB to the day I report to OCS will be about 6 months exactly. Plus I had to get a waiver approved for my ankle surgery...

Ocs

Package submitted: Mid April 2007
Pro-Rec'd: Early May 2007
Submitted final package: End of May 2007
Final Select: Beginning of July 2007
Swear in: August 2007
OCS Report Date: July 27th, 2008

I was also a BDCP applicant, so the time between my final select and OCS report date will be much different. I couldn't remember the exact dates (although I have them written down if you're that eager). Hopefully this helps. Good luck!

I'm not applying for pilot, but my app process was extended by 3 months due to my recruiter taking a 1 month vacation and the Navy not releasing funding for a mandatory trip to King's Bay.

You can start doing push-ups any time you like ;) Involuntarily dictated ones will come later, but you might want to practice....:D

If you get put into H because of injury, not just being out of shape, what do you do all day if you can't PT?
