October board???

Does anybody have any news on the October board (SNA specifically)?

Also a quick question. My recruiter wants me to pass my pt and meps before he sends off my package to the board, is this standard protocol? I have heard rumors that you can send off your package w/o these two. I ask this because i seem to be having alot of trouble getting scheduled for meps. I have been waiting for about a month for the "go ahead."

One more question, its 8 months until i graduate, and i know the cut off for BDCP is 6 months prior to graduation (so i have been told), should i apply for SNA-BDCP and SNA or is that even possible? Or do you guys think that the 2 month till deadline is nothing to sweat?

Anyway if my recruiter does get me scheduled at meps and i pass AND they are actually having an October Board i hope to be applying. Thanks guys and i suppose ill post my package as well:

2. NFO-BDCP

Retired.... do that not call them rio's?

The AF has never had F14 Tomcats. F15s (which look very vaguely similar) and F16s, and F22s, sure. They also flew F4 Phantoms (which were at one point strictly Naval fighters, I think). But if he flew an F14 he was either in the Navy at some point, or did so under unusual circumstances, I imagine.

Final Select OCS 25 MARCH SNA
The air force never flew tomcats, I know of at least one incident of an eagle driver losing to a tomcat but that's about it. Also from what I know you don't have to send the pt scores or meps records till after boards. My recruiter had me do both prior so all I will have to do is wait for a final select. I'm up for October boards as well for SNA

Good catch, you are most certainly right. Ill have to double check with him, but i assume it was the f-15 as it was around 10 years ago.

Ok that makes sence, so he may be pushing me to do meps and pt first so i can skip pro-rec. Thanks for the input that clears things up.

Doing meps and the PRT before submitting your app is usually up to your NRD, so it might be hard if not impossible to do it different from every other applicant there.
Also you won't skip pro-rec, but it should speed things along towards getting your final select.

correct this isn't part of your app reviewed by the board. HAving it done just makes your final select... easier, because I dont think anything can guerentee FS any faster. Maybe prayer.

That's correct I was final select for NFO last year and having my PT and MEPS done just sped up the final select process. But with me applying for SNA again, if I get a pro rec my final select will only come faster with the two being done prior. Anyways here's my stats

Male, 23
BS CSU Fresno: Criminology; Law Enforcement option
GPA: 2.7 (Better than when i first applied)
ASTB: 7/8/6 52
PRT: 1 1/2 mile; 9:40, SU; 50, PU; 50

LORs, 2 from retired LCDRs, 1 from flight instructor
Interviews from CO of VFA-125 and a DH from VFA-125

Work experience: Assistant manager at current job

Flight time: PPL with 60 hours

This is my third application for pilot, hopefully its a pro-rec this time
