Hey, I'm a winged AF Navigator who just left NAS Pensacola and just arrived at Seymour-Johnson AFB, NC for the F-15E RTU (like the Navy RAG). I have a house for rent in Pensacola.

It's in the first subdivision outside the back gate of NAS Pensacola, called Emerald Shores, *THE* closest possible location to the base (which is important on Tuesdays and Thursdays when the Blue Angels practices are open to the public and traffic sometimes backs up for miles). The location is also the best in Pensacola because nearly the entire subdivision is military, which'll be great for study groups in API. It's a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom, beautiful house, 2 car garage, perfectly-maintained yard, hot tub. Brick exterier, island in the kitchen, big bedrooms. About 1640 square feet. Unfurnished. I'm looking for $1050 a month, easily split by three future NFOs. The house would be perfect for a family as well.

Please email me if you'd like to know more and let me know when you will be in Pensacola!

Hey, I love the house. I'm about to enter OCS for 23OCT, then on to API in the NFO pipeline. So, I will be in the NASP area for a while. I am very interested in the house you have up for rent, but I know I wouldn't need it until at least January, when my wife will be down and I will have finished OCS. Let me know if you have any other offers right now and if nothing else, maybe I can get a hold of it whenever I do get ready to move off base.

Email me anytime... usnmerritt@yahoo.com

kidicaru~ your house is very cute! My husband is supposed to be going to ocs and starting class nov 13(report date~sna) we have been looking alot for a house down there. We are still debating on what we should do? Without pcs orders we would have to move ourselves but like i said we are still debating the pros and cons. What are the utilities rates like? Also can you tell me what schools might be near your house, i have a 10th grader and a 5th grader. No damage to that area with the hurricane? Well sorry about all of the questions and thank you for your time. have a nice evening

Pensacola house no longer available

1lkygrl,

Due to the recent housing shortage in Pensacola, the house is now rented and unavailable. When it opens up (in 2-6 months), I will post again.

My subdivision wasn't too damaged by the storm--luckily. If I were you, I wouldn't move down there until after he graduates from OCS. He will only have one weekend free the entire time (I think--I'm not sure about that). Utility prices average I guess. Have no kids so don't know about the schools.

Good luck.

hey there im1lkygrl i wouldnt recommend trying to get housing in the local area of p-cola anyways. you said your husbands is sna? then it would seem almost pointless to get something close to p-cola when hes only there TAD. his follow on may be milton which is a heck of a commute or corpus. i would hold fast on the decision as to where to live until he gets into late OCS and decides where he wants primary at.

jaymanc~ Thank you for your information...we have decided to go stay with my mother and save some money while he is in pensacola. He said that pcs orders would come around the 10th week, I think we decided it would be smarter to sit back and save money and see exactly were we will go. Thank you so much

I will have TWO condos available on Davis at Brigantine place. These are brand new. (Meaning: They are being built now, and will be finished in May.) They are 3 bedroom 2 bath, with balconies, pool. The only utility is electricty which averages about 60-80 month with AC full blast. (New construction has more secure windows and ventilation) No yard maintenance, or appliances needed. Looking to secure tennants by April. It is 15-20 minutes away from NAS, 5 minutes from UWF and 20-25 minutes from NAS Whiting. Near all the large apartment complexes on Davis. (Where alot of aviators live) If interested feel free to send message.
