A lot of guys keep talking about this area between air conditioning units where OCS used to be... :confused:


Sorry, friend, I have never been to Pensacola, and was just cruising the internets and seeing who was on AW. Good luck and have fun with the family. :D

Ya, that is the SUYA. I think the buildings are now marine barracks or possibly taken over by the rescue swimmer school or whatever. Anyhow, I don't think civilians are allowed on that part of the base (not that a sign with a flashing light will stop you).

Ahh....I want to go back and see it. Memories of being sprayed with a hose and asked how to spell "Dorothy".....warms the cockles of my heart. :D

So it's true that if you say those three letters at any time, you're done?

They say that, but really it will just give them an excuse to beat you more while they yell at you for saying D-O-R. Just part of the game. There's no secret "oops" button at OCS that causes the world to end.

Not necessarily true. If you said the letters D-O-R, you were whisked away to your class chief (admin person at OCS) and he spoke to you, and made sure you knew what you were saying, the consequences and if you meant it. If you really meant it, then you were DONE. Not necessarily GONE if you said DOR, but they took it very seriously (this coming from someone I know who DORed).

DOerOTHY.....or just skip the letter, then they yell at you and beat you for not being able to spell, they only really ask questions like that to the weak ones....haha
