Physical test to get NROTC scholarship?

Hello all,
I am wondering if you have to take a PRT or something similar before you receive a NROTC scholarship? I know you have to have a medical exam to get the scholarship, but do you have to take a PRT before you are offered the scholarship?

No, the first PRT you will take will be during your freshman orientation after recieving the scholarship. That doesn't mean to put off getting in shape till the last second though.

You will have to take a PFT if you are going for a Marine-option scholarship, however.

Your first REAL Navy PFA will be about halfway-ish through your first semester. If you fail the one during orientation, though, expect misery.
