I know that I have got a couple years until I know what pipeline I am going to take, but I have got a couple questions for you guys that are in the know. Now from what I understand (granted is not much, but from what I have gathered on this website) is that you if you chose to go the full 20 years, that you won't fly all the way through. Also that the only way you can stay in is if you keep on moving up ranks throughout your career. I think I have read on one of these threads that helo guys don't have much of a chance on moving up compared to their turboprop and jet counterparts. Since I want to retire in the Navy I am thus naturally concerned about getting prop, anybody want to correct me on any of this. ... By the way my 20 years is counting down from the time I signed for BDCP right? Thanks Ky.

The time toward retirement starts the day you began getting paid for BDCP.
