What is the max age for USMC aviaition, and what is the max age for prior service(I was in the Marines for four years). Are age waivers generally approved for prior serve people? I am 23 now and will have my degree between 26-28max. I am just now attending community college since I recently returned from Iraq and got out. If I go to University of Pheonix, I could do it in about 2.5-3 years. I am going to talk to an OSO about University of Pheonix online classes, hopefully the military will accept a degree from them.

well without waviers you need to complete OCS [i beleive] by 27 for air contracts, ground officers the age is 30, now you can get waivers for anything you know that, but it comes down to how competitive your stats are the older you are the better your pft needs to be, im in the same situation but just gettin in at 26 im a prior also, so that does help also.

You have to be commissioned by age 27 1/2 or else you will not get Air. Getting an age waiver is pretty much impossible whether you are prior service or not. Especially for aviation. Marine Corps doesn't do the prior service age waiver often anymore for various reasons. My advice is you go PLC while you're in school now, so you don't have to worry about the age thing.

I'm on the road to report to TBS right now. I just got done being the OSO assistant. I can tell you, our OSO never gave any age waivers. He would just tell people they were too old.

There's a waiver for everything. However, the question is will you get it. OSOs who have tried to get one (age waiver) probably never got one threw, so they'd rather not even be bothered trying.

I think if more college students knew about the PLC-Air program, or didn't wait until the last minute to apply, then they wouldn't need to worry about getting the age waiver.
