How's the outlook for PLC for the next 3 years or so?

With say a 3.5 GPA, MCJROTC experience, Civil Air Patrol, I shouldn't have trouble getting in will I?

I figured since Marine Corps and Army numbers are down PLC would be a bit more open, but once the major operations end, won't there be a lot of downsizing, or no?

Crowbar's right. The only way to know is to apply. Also, if an OSO thinks your package is competitive, he'll let you know. Otherwise it's a big waste of his time. And if you don't get in? Apply again.

The numbers might be down on the Enlisted side, but definately not on the Officer side. Don't take what you see on CNN or FoxNews as ground truth in terms of what the Marine Corps is doing. If you're going to apply, simply apply. If you try to game the game, you'll find yourself out in the cold. I hope that helps.

Im in the application process right now for PLC-air, getting all my LOR's done, Physical and ASTB is on friday- wish me luck. My OSO told me the PFT is highly regarded in the application process, fortunetly for me im an NCAA track athlete. But three miles will actually be the farthest i have run my whole life...im a sprinter. Distance will be a whole new ballgame. Any advice on the PFT in general?
