Hello:

I had a few more questions about PLC.

When is the latest you can apply for PLC? Can you apply senior year? Is so I assume you would go to OCS, TBS and flight school all after graduation right?

I've heard people trying to apply for a Marine Corps pilot slot threw OCS. When they say they are applying for a pilot slot threw OCS are they talking about PLC, or something completly different?

With PLC, are there only two contracts you can get? Air and ground contracts? If I got a ground contract, would that include every MOS that isn't aviation related? Like everything from supply to infantry. If I got a ground contract and wanted to become an infantry officer, when would I find out if I was selected to become an infantry officer? How does all that work?

Thank you for replying.

From my limited knowledge gathered from this website...
1.I have known people who applied during their senior year if it is still possible don't know find an OSO(Officer Selection Office)in your area.
2. short answer yes
3.3 contracts Law, Air, Ground. If its not in the air then its on the ground. You will learn what your MOS is at TBS, unless you have an Air contract. And the way you get your MOS is through a selection process that is a quality spread. They divide the class(minus those w/air contracts)into 3rds and the first guy in the top third, then the top guy in the second 3rd, then the top guy in the third 3rd,and then back to the first 3rd so on and so forth till you get to the end. Say there is 100 people it would look like this 1,34,67,..33,66,100 <i'm not a math major> hope that helped
