Post FS Private Pilots Liscense

I could tell you but I would have to kill you
Everyone,
Its been 3 years since I left Pensacola and have been thinking about going and getting the private pilots for a while. Now I finally have both the funding (5k) and the opportunity to do the program (plus I figure its time to put up or shut up ) at the Atlanta Navy Flight club before they close. Does anyone know if the FAA would be willing to credit for my hours from Contact(~10 hours) in the front seat from Primary NFO program.

I miss flying and watching you tube vids brings back those memories. Last weekend while playing in the E-2 Sim with one of my buddies at the RAG (thanks
Mike!) he was complenting me on my approaches and it got me thinking "Maybe I can do This"

Appreciate any suggestions.

For the NFO front seat time to count, the Navy IP would also had to have been a FAA CFI. He would had to have made a logbook entry and signed it.

It would be the same for an SNA. Military time doesn't count for jack until you get your wings. Unless, like HAL mentioned, your IP is an FAA CFI.

Not sure how it would work for NFOs, but I went for my private after winging (couldn't qualify for the equivalency). The FAA will count your front seat time, but you need to meet the requirments for a Private Pilot Certificate. So you will need solo cross country, solo and night time. You will also need to take the oral exam, which any instructor will help you prep for. The only big issue is converting the Navy time to Civil time, i.e. first pilot time in the Navy is PIC time for the Private. Also bring a copy of your military logbook. Hope this info helps out.

Yeah thats what I figured, but I'm still going to take my logbook and program syllabis when I go and talk to the FAA guy. If there willing to count anything its that much less hours I have to pay for.
