Prk and 20/40 how does this work?

I have 20/40 vission and have an air contract. I have already completed plc jrs and was wondering when i should get prk and if i need the waiver since i have the contract. I want to get it to make sure my eyes are perfect by the time i get to check in at API.

That is true but i barely had 20/40 and the eye doctor new it. Also i think my eyes might be slightly worse than my last visit.

Maybe you should get to a private optometrist and find out where your eyes are right now.

I had the same problem. So I'll let you know what happned with me. I had around 20/40. When I went to MEPS they told me I had 20/50. Went to the local NAS and had my eyes checked again. One was 20/40 the other 20/50. So I had PRK. I see better that 20/15 now.

I think I will have Prk, I dont want anything in the way of me being the best Marine officer that i am capable of being. I also want to be a pilot more than a lot of things in life, but i always have to remember that God is first.
