Does anyone know the aircraft you'll train in after the T-34 if you become a prowler pilot? I heard that you'll have to fly the T-1's with the airforce and I've also heard its the same aircraft pipeline as F-18's. Does anyone have any inside info on deployment and for aircrews of Prowlers?

Is it true the Prowler crews are hardly ever home?
I can't speak for the OPTEMPO of the Marine Prowlers, but I suspect that their deployment cycle is somewhat like the expeditionary Navy Prowler squadron that I was in. Prowlers are high demand/low density assets, but at least you don't have to do work-ups. It's kind of nice being a much needed asset/show stopper, even if you are the fat kid. It's not that bad, and certainly shouldn't affect your decision to go Prowlers.
