Hello everyone. I would like to describe my current situation and see if anyone has any thoughts or insights that may be helpful to me. Here it goes..
I received my Pro-Rec (SNA) on the October board, which was the 15th. I am currently scheduled to take my PRT on Monday. Yesterday I sprained my ankle and definitely feel it today just by walking on it. This would not be a big deal, except this ankle was surgically repaired 6 months ago and I do not want to do anything that is going to negatively affect it in the long term.
So, my question is this...Since my Pro-Rec expires 30 days from selection if I don't do my PRT, I have to have it done by November 15th. Worst case scenario, how bad would it be to let the Pro-Rec expire, in order to let my ankle fully recover from this (if needed). Would I have to resubmit my package for a future board?
Also, I heard that if you sustain a "temporary or recoverable" injury, you could get granted extensions. Or is that only after you are a final select?
I hope my ankle feels fine by Monday, and if not, definitely in two weeks. But, just looking at my worst case scenario right now. Thanks.
