Anyone know what is the minimum passing scores for the first graded PRT at the beginning of API for an Ensign?

Male 20-24
12:00 run
58 sit ups
47 push ups

Female 20-24
14:15 run
58 sit ups
21 push ups

The mins get less as you go up, can't remember them specifically.

*Edit*
I believe the minimums are actually the good low category for the regular Navy PRT for every age group. Also, it's on a chip trail so the runs are always slower than up there at Annapolis.

When I did my check-in PRT (A-pool not API) the guys that run the PT program said that you needed a good low in your age/gender group to meet the API minimums. However NASC website says differently:

Males: PU=42, SU=50, Run= 12:00
Females: PU=17, SU=45, Run= 14:15

According to the website "These are absolute minimum requirements". Maybe someone who has classed up recently can say which is the standard they actually follow.

Check the bottom of the page, that link was last updated 20 Jul 2004. The standards I put up were current as of August, doubt they've gone down since then.

Biker boy is correct with the current numbers, though 25+ age group gets around 12:30 for males female is even more ridiculous. The first PRT should be during your brief week, right after check in along with the swim test. It is after medical/psd/and all that stuff. After that Flight Management will do them randomly by last name (a-k's meet on the track) and that is every few weeks. The API one is the first monday of classes, or the first day of clear weather after. Are the standards enforced? 2-3 months in A pool seemed to make some people balloon up but there they are 6 weeks later in a flight suit.

hope this helps

Ahhh me and water... we... deal with one another. Not so much scared of it. I just got zero form with the crawl. I'm money with the back, side and to a certain extent the breast. But thanks for the heads up, I'm trying to max my pool time before I get there.

Only the top 5% get to start API; the rest get pen flares shot up their ass and drown in the helo dunker.
