If any of yall get a chance to go meet some O-5 PXO's jump on it. It was an excellent source of information. Also suggest meeeting up with them later at Chan's or whatever Wednesday night bar that you fancy; it is a great time. Probably the only time you'll have to shoot the sh!t/ party old world style with some great aviators and truly pick their brains. Pig, Coach, Chaser, Tank, and the rest of them are some great guys.

I would agree...but don't be the guy who walks up to their hatch and ask them out to the bar...

Yes, well obviously. But when you're at a happy hour informal get-together and they ask where is the place to go tonight, by all means go out and make them wish they were young again.:)

DOOR, it's a DOOR. I don't care what they called it in TBS or OCS, it's a DOOR.

Ha ha, that's some funny sh!t, but only because this is exactly what I was thinking. I find it one of the most ironic things that the Marine Corps, who traditionally despise the Navy, like to use Navy speak when they communicate.

BTW, it is after all, only a door. A hatch is used to go through openings through the deck, not the wall (or bulkhead).
