I was wondering I have a private pilot's liscense but I haven't flown in nearly two years. Since I haven't flown so long will I have to go to to IFS to get current?
FWIW: 2 years ago I knew a guy w/ 500+ hours (and a commercial ticket) who neglected to mention his flight time on his IFS forms. . .he got 24.9 hours of flight time courtesy of the USN.
Another someone I knew had 13 or 14 hours and had just soloed. He put his time on his form. . .and was told "Well, you don't need IFS. Next stop API."
As far as currency, you will not fly the Chickenhawk again, so currency is a non-issue. They would only send you for training (read: 'screening' purposes)
