Greetings, haven't posted in a while.

First off, it's good to be back, and thanks for your time.

I did a search on Marine Corps Platoon Leaders Class and (surprisingly) didn't find anything... maybe I searched wrong, but oh well on with my question.

I graduated with a bachelors degree last April, and have been working in a bar ever since. I applied for the Army WOFT program in February and received a "Qualified non-select" rating.

I recently applied to Michigan Tech. University, and got my acceptance letter in the mail today. Can I apply for PLC (aviation) if I already have a bachelors degree? The Marine recruiting site doesn't go into much detail about it at all.

Also, the WOFT process required me to take the class 1A flight physical. Is this physical the same physical that Naval aviators take? If so, how long are they good for?

If anyone has answers to any of the questions mentioned above, please feel free to fill me in.

Thanks again for your time,

Rob

P.S. Any hardcore fans out there?

If you already have a bachelors degree. For those who already have a bachelors degree, they would go to OCC (Officer Candidate Class). Classes are held 3 times a year and the last day of OCC you will be commissioned as a 2nd Lt. and then head to TBS.

Possible exception: You said that you have applied and been accepted to Michigan - if you intend to return to school for either a second bachelors or a masters, they may send you to PLC. This I am not sure of.

Your best bet to all your questions is to contact your local OSO (Officer Selection Office). You can locate your OSO a few ways:
- Blue pages of your local phone book.
- http://www.ocs.usmc.mil has a link on the left hand side of the page "contact your local OSO".
- http://www.marineofficer.com talks about OCS and the differences between OCC and PLC.

Sweet, thanks!

FYI: I'm pursuing a second bachelors.

I'll post what I learn from the OSO when I get the info!
