Question about the ASTB

Hi!

I'm in the process of applying for Navy BDCP and gearing up to take the ASTB in the near future. I was previously a non-contracted/ non-scholarship cadet in AFROTC, but decided for a number of reasons that my heart was in the Navy and BDCP would be a great way to do it. While in ROTC I took the AFOQT, so I was curious if this would cut down on the number of attempts I have for the ASTB. Also if my prior AFOQT score could be converted to an ASTB score...

Thank you for the help!

I don't believe so, on either count - they're different tests, after all. Check with an officer recruiter to be certain, though.

No and no. AF and Navy are two very separate services.

As mentioned before, you AFOQT will not matter. It may be something to put towards the end of the application though.

From your profile you say you are at UFCC. You will have to get some time at a 4 year school before you submit your application.

Asked the question already last year - Navy does not care the slightest about your AFOQT scores.
