Before everyone throws a hissy fit, yes I've uesed the search function.

My question is:

Are the PRT standards to get into OCS the same as the "active duty" PRT standards? Also, are pilot / nfo PRT standards different than SWO / intel / supply and so on....

The only reason I ask is because a chief recruiter told me that aviation standards are higher. I have found nothing on here to indicate that that is accurate.

Also, I am prior enlisted aircrew and don't remember the standards being different between aviation / surface.

Any insights on this??

The standards and numbers are the SAME BUT ONE ACCEPTION YOU MUST GET GOOD LOW OR BETTER IN EVERY EVENT. SO in a sense the standards are higher because on active duty you only have to get SAT to stay off MANDO

What Goob said, and keep in mind that nothing less than perfect form is required at OCS. What is perfect form? Whatever the DI's and Chiefs decide -- that's what. The biggest hurdle for prior enlisted candidates is the in-PFA because they had scores that were good or even great in the fleet, only to find that an OCS-run PFA is completely different than a fleet-run PFA.

Pilot and NFO standards are the same as eveyone else's, even SWOs and Intel. We are however required to be proficient in volleyball, to have an 18 inch vertical jump, and to not jiggle on the landing....see TOPGUN as a reference.

Thanks guys. Not worried about passing PRT, just wanted clarity. I had ankle surgery in April and have made a full recovery and running often.
