I've had trouble too. Wasn't sure if I had been downgraded to a "Miserable User."
On top of that - what's up with the posting times?? It looks like they may be back on track now, but stuff posted earlier this afternoon was showing up with late night post times. There are now posts out there where the replies show up earlier than the original post so nothing makes sense!

I have to click reload every time I try to open a page. It takes at least two to three tries to open. Also, when I post something it takes forever to register, if it does at all. I have been able to get on the site from home, but not from the University. I haven't been able to send PMs since last night either.

well im glad im not the only one having problems
I can answer for the first 2 reported problems.
1. The site got really slow because for some reason the web server started forking out a new process for each request, and would spin that process w/o it ever ending. This server is also a mirror for several large sites, so do that a few thousand times, and things get rediculously slow. Fixed.
2. One of the server admins accidentally had a typo which caused the system clock to skew forward a few hours. Since it was so far ahead and out of the tolerance band for ntp to correct it, it went on for a few hours until I realized the clock was off. Fixed.
It seems like yesterday was one of those embarrassing days where everything seems to go wrong.
As far as the PM thing, that's probably one to ask the webmaster for this forum about.

Machine, thanks for the info. (I had like a couple hundred admin email alerts saying the site was down, and errors, guess that was when you were fixing the server). FYI all, he hosts the website on his server. So don't piss him off!
