Recruiter is submitting my application today!

Hi all,

I'm a Junior Statistics major at the University of South Carolina. I have finally finished the long application process and my recruiter is sending off the application today.

I lister my job choices as 1) NFO, 2) Information Warfare, and 3) Surface Warfare.

Does anyone have any information on the February board dates? And if so, when should I look to have a response by?

It's always tough to say when you'll hear back from the boards. In some cases it might only be a week after they meet, in others it could be a month or more. Don't sweat the wait. Spend the time getting in shape and/or drinking beer. It'll make things go so much faster.

The best thing I have discovered to keep your mind off of the wait is to just act like you're not even waiting on anything. Just keep going to class, hang out with friends, etc. The time will go by. Also what is helping me with the wait is looking around for other possible career options just in case I don't get accepted. I submitted my package back on 01/08 and here it is two weeks later and it doesn't seem like even a week has gone by.

I have known people who had to wait 3 months to find out. That was last summer and I know the gears are finally oiled up a bit, but you never know when they are going to decide to not meet for a while. Best of luck on your application and wait.
