I have a friend who has decided not to stay in the program and they told him he wouldn't be kicked out of the Navy, that they are redesignating people now. He didn't ask any questions about it bc he doesn't want to redes, but what is the word out there from API and others? Are the redesing ppl now? Just curious.

I was just told by the medical corpsmen down there that it is possible to redesignate, but not once you're in the flight pipeline. If you roll or DOR in the flight pipeline, you're out.
But that could be dated. I talked to them on Monday.

Based on what I've heard from multiple sources, it seems to be a crapshoot at this point. I've heard of people DORing out of primary and getting the boot, and I've heard of people getting GENAV orders. It seems to fluctuate. Personally I'm not actively pursuing that topic. If they're going to kick me out if I fail, it's one more reason to not fail.
