DO NOT go to Seville's the night before the first inspection, drink 10 1 dollar bottles of "Icehouse", form up, vomit into your mouth and then swallow it while in ranks.

just because something is cheap doesn't make it a good idea. that holds true from pcola to thailand.

Yeah, thats the only inspection that I can remember. You'll form up outside the API building and the Captain or Lieutenant or whomever comes out to greet you will do a quick inspection.

As my old college buddy and former Marine told me as I was leaving for boot camp....take powdered soap...it takes longer to pick up!

Um, no, the inspection is when you actually class up for API, chances are once you report, you will be stashed in the A-pool for a few weeks or a few months, depending, so you will NOT be inspected upon reporting in. Just show up, fill out paperwork, get your orders stamped at the quarterdeck first, and turn stuff in where they tell you to. Bring copies of your orders, as many as you can, and bring a copy of your last FITREP.
