Requesting Officer Interview

I am hoping this is not out of line as I did not see any other threads asking, nor did I see anything saying not to ask. I am currently putting together an application for SNA/NFO. I took the ASTB last week and scored a 50 6/6/6, and am a little disappointed in my score. In order to shore up my package, I am requesting an Officer interview.

I am looking for an Aviator or Flight Officer in Western KY, Southern IL, or Western TN who would be willing to interview me. Additionally, I am willing to drive down to Pensacola in order to get an interview. If someone in Pensacola is interested, know that I am still in school full time as well as work part time, and so I will be essentially doing a weekend trip (drive down, interview, drive back). This means that I will have to ask that you be available for the interview on the weekend. I am hoping to get this interview completed between now and the end of September.

This community is a huge boon in putting together an application, and I appreciate your help. Thank you!

I'm not sure how much the officer interview helps, especially when it's not a required part of the package for the SNA position. I didn't have one and was accepted (though I did have LoR's from an officer).

It might make better use of your time to put yourself on a strict study regimen and in 90 days take the ASTB again. There is a lot of study gouge on this website and I think after a month or so of hard studying that you would improve. Take it or leave it.

Oh, I fully plan on taking the ASTB again if I don't get accepted. But since I'm hoping to get in for the October or November board, I'm trying to build as strong a package as possible for them. If I get a non-select then I can take the ASTB again after those boards finish, since there isn't another board until April/May.
