Good Morning,

I am an AE1 with 13 years of service (8 active and 5 reserve) looking for any and all info/details on what it's like to be a Reserve LDO (633X AMDO). I believe I understand that I will have to serve as a commissioned officer for 10 years to be eligible for an officer's retirement. Is that correct? Any pointers about the application process? What does the career progression look like? Are the requirements of a Reserve LDO more than my current commitments as AE1? I of course understand that you'll get out as much as you put in but I have a growing family and am running a business as well. Any and all information will be appreciated. Thank you!

I don’t know what unit your in but I’m guessing it has an LDO AMDO in it. Have you had any conversations with them about this career path?

Well Master Chief isn’t an LDO, why are others searching for you. You want to be an LDO you need to do the leg work.😉
Specifically, because the squadron is in Florida. I am in Alabama and only periodically go there. I won't be there again until April and would like to get started as early as possible, so I am having to reach out to everyone by phone. He is touching base with them over the Drill Weekend this weekend and will get their personal numbers for me by Sunday.
