Anyone who was at OCS during the Rocquemore era might be interested to know this: First Sgt. Rocquemore was recently selected for Sgt. Major. He's out here at China Lake with the MAD, and yeah, he's still ridiculously huge.

Very cool. Never met the man, wasn't there when he was, but I'm familiar with all the shirts on the first level of the Batts that have "Can't Escape the Rocque" and things of that nature on them.

One of my best memories of OCS was when I rounded the corner in Batt 2 on watch, doing my normal watch patrol thingy... and I see Roc. I yell "Good morning, sir," which of course was the wrong thing to do while he was instructing his class. It was a rainy day and PT was cancelled... except for me. I had my own personal PT with the Roc while he continued to instruct his class. Fun times.
