Anyone read this book about the USS Forrestal fire? I'm halfway through it right now. Man, what a terrible accident. Learned some things already that I didn't know though, that was never talked about in our ROTC classes, such as the use of bombs dated to 1935. Very interesting, and graphic, read.

I read it a few years ago and it was pretty shocking. You don't realize how much info all of the other documentaries leave out until you read this one.

We used to sneak on the Forestall when I was at NAPS. It was really incredible to stand in one of the hangar bays with only a flash light... really shows you the enormity of the thing.
