Oddly enough, not much has changed in the T-38A.

Althiigh we have the electronic ADI/HSI as of 2-3 years ago, the gyro platform is the same. It was simply a case of vanishing vendor with the mechanical ADI/HSI, and it brings nothing new.

Of course, ForeFlight, an iPad and a RAM mount are ubiquitous... and make our 12 jets "T-38A+" models. View attachment 43956

This is certainly no Huggy picture but a shot from a colleague taken inside the sfra Friday night on a proficiency sortie.

I got a couple TA-4J backseat BFM rides at Meridian in '94.

And... holy shit... that's a small cockpit!

My SNFO buddies who went through TA-4J's for their final part of flight school when the T-2's went down had to twist their bodies so their shoulders wouldn't be squished by the canopy coming down. They said it felt more like 'strapping on' the jet than 'strapping in'.

The cockpit of the TA-4 was roomy compared to the single seat A-4E, A-4F, and A-4M.
