Does anyone know the specifics of going to any special schools? I've heard that you can sometimes get into some of these schools if there is room and you are waiting for MOS school or something. I know one guy that went through OCS in the Summer of '01 and just graduated from college in May of '02 and he said they were going to let him go to airborne school and possibly IOC if time allows before flight school.

What is IOC? I saw it in another topic as well. tried searching for the term on the web, didnt get anything clear.
 
I believe it stands for Infantry Officer's Class. All I know is that you have to be really dumb or a complete stud to do it.

The SCUBA class at NDSTC Panama City was one of the best courses of instruction that I have ever been through. If you ever get the chance to go through that training, I would not pass it up.

While Boots was incredibly annoying, the worst, IMO, was the Chinese music they started with first. It just kept making me think of Chinese food, and man did that sound good.

A roommate of mine in college was fortunate enough to go to SERE. He would sing boots to piss the rest of us off. Sick marine bastard!

nobody has any idea what that poem means or pertains to unless they went through the school ....

This thread is not giving detailed info about sere. I am not sure, but if you had any info in your posts about the on goings at sere then that would be a good reason. The thread was probably locked because of the info that kept getting posted. Not a good topic to post about on a very public website.
 
my post that was deleted from this thread is the same song/poem that i posted in this one, nothing more nothing less, that's why i was wondering what the deal was
