090314-N-5366K-056 PHOENIX (March 14, 2009) Athletes battle through two minutes of push ups during the Navy SEAL Fitness Challenge at Arizona State University in Phoenix. The fitness challenge, hosted by the Naval Special Warfare Recruiting Directorate in association with I-High Marketing, gave participants the opportunity to test their strength and endurance against Navy SEAL standards. Athletes started with a 500-yard swim, followed by push ups, sit ups, pull ups and a 1.5 mile run. More than 330 athletes took part in the event, the first of four challenges to be held across the U.S. this year. Ah the good ol' screening tests, doing these weekly was actually pretty fun. Looks like it's made for a nice tactic . . . give anybody the most basic of NSWC screening tests and see now much spin they can get out of it.

Now, if they only made them do logs and running with an IBS at head carry, that would be boss. But I think that would exceed the boundaries of safety and ORM procedures, cause the risk of putting just any normal joe in that situation would be too adverse.

I'm going to go out on a limb and bet these athletes got a solid night's sleep, proper nutrition the previous day unlike BUD/S. I'm also guessing they aren't getting told "start over turd" half way through their times push-ups. They probably aren't getting hosed down either.

Making Recruiting Great Again
They really need to add the Perfect Pushups into the SEAL challenge so I can dominate everyone in it.

Hell, it was developed by a FORMER US NAVY SEAL. Why not?
