Security Clearances prior to OCS?

You won't need or get any kind of clearance for OCS. Probably won't get one until you get to the RAG (for aviators), or your first command. You may begin the background investigation paperwork shh=ortly after OCS though, depending on your particular pipeline.

I finished USMC OCS in July and just applied for my secret this month.

I've applied to both, SF86 (security questionaire) required both times. In fact I have a secret right now, yet still have to turn in the SF86. I think some of this depends on your ORO/OSO.

OH okay thanks for the reply guys, I was just curious cause my recruiter had brought it up and wasn't exactly sure if SNAs/NFOs start off with a higher clearance then others, He might of been just trynig to pump me up more then what I already am.

Like I said, you won't need a clearance before you get wings.
