All my hard work has finally paid off! I sent in my application along with MEPS, PRT, ASTB, etc. and just found out a few days ago that I was selected for SNA FY07. I'm so excited but it hasn't truely hit me yet that I'm going to soon be an officer in the Navy! I just wanted to say thank you to everyone on this board because this site served as an amazing source of information and if the people on this board are any indication of the type of people I will soon be working with in the future, then it's going to be an awesome ride :icon_smil

I just had some questions regarding the process from here on. What should I expect? My recruiter said that I probably wouldn't be going to OCS until at least Oct. unless the needs of the Navy change. Should I expect to be going around there or does it take awhile to get an official class date? I'm in the process of finishing grad school so now I need to hurry and get done asap. Thanks again guys!!

Congrats!! Hopefully I'll be right there with you. My story is a little different in that I had originally applied for BDCP and was non-select for SNA in Oct '06. I just submitted a request for reconsideration this past week (for OCS, not BDCP), but I had seen a memo that they were needing additional NFO's & SNA's for the April 17 board, and they were waiving the 6 month reconsideration limit. Oh well, I think my reconsideration letter emphasizes my level of dedication and I think it will help this time up.

Stats:
Prior Enlisted 4yrs EM2/ Rescue Swimmer
27 yrs old
AQR: 6
PFAR: 6
FOFAR: 5
OAR: 55
GPA: 3.43 Aerospace Science Major
Full time DOD Contractor for the USAF
Flight time: 50 hrs. actual & 50 hrs simulated
LOR's: LT., EMCS, GYSGT (RET), AECS (RET), MAJOR (RET) & 2 PROFESSORS (all 10's)

1. SNA
2. NFO
3. SPECOPS (EOD)

Well it feels so surreal, and it just really hasn't sunk in yet. I only wish I could head down to Pcola next month. I guess though it's better this way because it gives me the chance to prepare. I'm in good shape but I want to be in the best shape I can to make the PT portion of OCS as painless as possible. Other than PT, is there anything else I can do to prepare myself for OCS?

Congrats! I just found out today that I'll be headed in that direction too.

Good luck.
