I have taken the test, filled out my application, gotten references, finished my degree completion plan, gotten my transcripts and act scores, and I only have to do 2 things but I have been waiting on my recruiter for months. I know hes busy, but he needs to send me the info for the background check and I'm still waiting for him to schedule a physical, but he says he has to make phone calls every time, but never gets to it. Anyway I was just wondering if anyone knew when the next selection process is because is doesn't look like I'm going to make this one, or if someone has some advice it would be great.

Here is the best piece of advice I can give: get used to it. This may be an extremely important decision to you, but to your recruiter, you're just another applicant. You won't make the May 15th board, and you will be lucky to make the one in June. Another good piece of advice is to be persistent; your recruiter will never call you to complete anything, remember it's your application. So if you need to call everyday to get a physical appointment, then call everyday. He'll get pissed off, so let him; this is an important career decision to you, not to him.

Hello Jooman...

I am from Minnesota as well, and interested in pursuing a career in the Navy, hopefully be entering OCS.

Any advice? What is your recruiter's name?

Where is he located?

Any info would be great. Thanks!

JohnnyUtah is right on. Being persistent is key. I had to tell my recruiter time after time to get things done. I even had to tell my recruiter that I would be going over his head to get needed information. That really pissed him off but it also got him in gear. Don't be timid to take charge of things, get people fired up, but remember to be tactful in doing so. That is 1 of the 14 leadership traits :icon_mi_1, for all of you knowledge ones.
