Slow down for Aviation Designation Final Selects ???

I was Pro-Rec for an NFO slot on the September boards and passed my PRT and medical in October. However, I have yet to receive final select. I am from Michigan and according to my OT, there are only five of us from Michigan that have been pro-received in aviation designations since the summer and none of the five have received final selects as of December 19th when Millington shut down for the holidays. Does anyone out there have any idea what could be causing this delay ??? I know the common answer to 'Why haven't I received final select yet?' is shut up and have a beer. However, I am turning 27 (cut off age for NFO) on July 30th and I don't even have dates yet. Needless to say I am a little anxious as a serious injury at OCS, for example, could spell the end for me. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks !

Bad Gouge. Cut-off for pilot for non-prior Navy types is that you must commission before 27. For Navy non-prior NFOs you must commission before you turn 29.

The October fs's have been waiting patiently for their final selections as well. However, there has been ONE person receive their FS with OCS date, and I myself have been informed by my recruiter that I have received final selection, but they are still getting an OCS date.

Your case sounds very strange... if it was just you I would say your papers got lost... but 5?

I''m not encouraging this, b/c it would get annoying for those on the receiving end, but my OR was out of town for a while and I called the NRD Miami and asked them directly (I worked out of the Tampa office). The guy there gave me my date and everything.

To echo the rest of the dudes, I would call your NRD and ask your recruiter's boss (a LCDR more than likely), not saying your recruiter isn't doing a good job but if there is one thing I have learned in my salty two years it is that the squeaky wheel gets the grease. I would be calling them every week, at the very least you will show how motivated you are and getting more 'face time' if you will. The only thing I would do is if you go higher up on the COC just be very respectful especially WRT to your recruiter. Good luck.
