My package for PLC is leaving for the selection board this weekend. I am prior Navy enlisted trying to get a better understanding of the sea/shore rotation, so to speak, of a Marine Corps SNA. I'm married with a four-year old and another one on the way. I'm a dedicated person especially when it comes to defending my country, but my family comes first. I know about the sacrifices of being in the Military, I'd be gone for 6 mos., home for 18 mos. with workups and a yard period durring that time. I would like to hear from a Marine Corps Pilot who has already been down "that road". I'm familliar with PLC through TBS and Flight School, but what about after? When was your first deployment with a squadron? Which squadron? How long? How long until your first "B" Billet? What was your first "B" Billet? Any 1st hand insight would be much appreciated. Even a link to another post would help. Thanks!
