If you went thru IFS at either Mobile with FTM, or at Bay Minette and SkyWarriors, you participated in an old tradition of having a shirtail cut after your first solo. Then it was appropriately endorsed with name, a/c#, and any number of other comments or observations.
Some people wish they had that shirt tail in later years.
Many of those momentos end up in a trash bin when a school goes out of business, or they get taken down to make room for more and end up in a box someplace to eventually get trashed.
I have taken it upon myself to rescue many of those old scraps of cloth from Mobile and Bay Minette. Those from Mobile go back 3-4 years when I was instructing there and currently have access to those at Bay Minette.
If any students attended either of those schools and would like to get their solo shirts back, email me at flyinrock@yahoo.com and I'll see if it is among those I rescued.
With current students, frequently they can hand deliver to friends or old classmates. If I need to mail them out to you my cost will be about $2 for the packaging and postage.
I'll be curious to see what kind of response this post gets.
