Not that I am even considering this, but I have always wondered. Does an IST still go to TBS? So you would be a senior CAPT or a MAJ going through TBS?

I'm pretty sure that you do. I don't know that you'd go through TBS as a Capt or Maj though, I expect that they would probably make you a 1stLt through TBS, then promote you to Capt/Maj upon completing. Just a guess though, I have nothing to back it up.

Found out the answer to this question this weekend. Yes, a Capt does go through TBS. Met a guy that is USNA class of '01, former Submarine Officer, turned reservist, turned active duty USMC Capt. He's just now starting with Alpha Company in TBS.

Wow, I can figure if that is a good or bad thing. At least he out ranks all of the holier-than-thou 2LTs who hang around there.

Fixed it for you, we're not the Army

Yeah, those homos got on my nerves... But then again, I was an air contract so alot of TBS got on my nerves. He's not looking forward to it, I gave him some good recommedations...
