Something Fishy..

Trying to hit the Dangerzone
Hey all, quick question about my scores and other things...
So I took the ASTB for the second time around and didn't hear anything back for several weeks. My recruiter placed a call in to NAMI, and when she did, they said that they did not have my Test - the FEDEX tracking number confirmed that someone signed for it, and then my recruiter brought this to NAMI's attention. A day after this, NAMI came back with my scores, and said that I scored the exact same score that I scored before. Now, I'm not saying that I am super genius, but I studied my butt off for this thing the second time around, and to think that I didn't score a point better seems a little strange. any comments?

Why didn't your recruiter let you take it online? Instant scores that way. Otherwise, something sounds fishy to me.

I don't really know. Do you know if there is anyway I can be eligible for retest? I know that I am going to have to wait 90 days (because this is the second time) but is their anything I can do?

does seem strange. if you really felt you may have done better on the second go (what were your scores the first time?) then I would make a big push to see the actual test results. be diplomatic, but express your concerns (mine would be somehow first results got lost/misplaced/whatever and someone along the way just grabbed the first results) and you should be allowed to see your official results of the second round, with some sort of verifiable date or test # or something. I wouldn't let this get away easy without something verifiable.

absolutely good advice. Don't even express "concern". Simply ask for a confirmation of your scores. Surely they must have a results sheet with a test number or date or something on it. Just ask to see a copy of it for your records. Then watch the fumbling and backpeddling that ensues (assuming something fishy HAS gone on).

You post entirely too much for someone who has not done anything.

jojo the amazing poster has a point. There is a grade sheet that is generated by the test. It has the breakdown of each section, the date taken and even the OAR score. I have mine in my service record so it can be bronzed when I make flag.
