Whaaaaaaa...? How the hell would that ever get past any regulatory agency in the world? I've flown on some ghetto-ass third-world airlines, but you always got a seat (and more food than on US airlines, come to think of it...)

This is quite possibly one of the worst ideas I've ever heard of. I'm already uncomfortable enough when I'm sitting in coach next to the largest woman on earth...

Airlines like RyanAir make me want to vomit. I've read horror stories about the customer service they fail to provide.

The regular man just doesn't understand how the airline business works.

If you want to know a little bit more about the airlines I suggest watching this...

More management mindlessness. How about they contract a Marine DI on each flight to PT the standing heavy folks that couldn't afford an actual seat on the flight. Oh yeah- that'll be an add on item to the stimulus package that we all pay for.

Funny thing is ... we did something similar back in the late 70's ... but by chance instead of by choice.

Comin' out of Santiago or BA on the once/twice per week shuttle back to the Land of the Big PX ... the non-rev's (employees on a pass) would be standing up in the heads & galleys for takeoff ... it was either that or you wouldn't get back for at least another 3-5 days.

Just a good thing the FAA didn't like to 'ride' to South America ... :)
