Okay, I'm pretty sure I don't need surgery. Two years ago I had 20/20, and I don't think it's any worse than 20/30 right now, but just in case, I want to know what the deal is. I tried searching and reading the forums, but there were a lot of posts contradicting what people said.

So the question is...if I'm about to start the paperwork for the PLC program and it turns out that I DO need eye surgery, how does that process work? For that matter, do they even allow waivers? From what I've read and heard it sounds like they do, but I'd like to get this confirmed.

According to my flight surgeon, no Lasik only PRK. You can have it before training but not during.(that note is questionable) You can have the surgery after you get your wings. Semper Fly

I am applying PLC air right now with 20/80 in both eyes and accoring to everything I have heard (including my OSO) I am fine, as long as its correctable to 20/20
