Strong verbal, weak math..but how important?

Hi all! I want to apply for Intelligence or Public Affairs route either as enlisted or officer for Navy. I am and have always been strong in the verbal categories, and extremely weak with sciences and math. Before any review I took a practice test on Military.com and scored VE+AR 149. The site also says Intelligence need at least VE+AR score of 103, while journalist requires at least 110. My question is how much should I worry about weak STEM scores? I still plan on reviewing science and math, but particularly for my officer application, how important is it that I have at least decent scores in each category, even if the section is not relevant to what I’m applying for? I'm trying to work out a study plan at the moment. Thank you!

The ASVAB doesn't come into play with officer applications only enlisted, for enlisted as long as you meet the scores and moral qualifications you can get that job, IF that job is open at the time you sit down with a classifier.

On the officer side PAO has been closed to non AD applicants for a few years, if they open it up it is very competitive taking only a few each year, and even when it was open to non AD they would pick AD or prior service USN 99% of the time.

Intel is also very tough to get into, even more so if you don't have a tech degree.

Thank you. And with the OAR test, from what I'm reading I have to take the entire test and every section is counted? For me, the mechanical and auto and shop section are brand new information for me. I might as well enroll in a 101 course before even taking this test :(

It is an aptitude test, and while I have seen people study and increase there scores, it hasn't been a significant jump, but a review would probably be good.
