This is a nerd question but what the hell...What kind of materials should I have bought before API. Should I just have notebooks and pens or is there something else? Is there a list I can get? Thanks.

That all depends on your study habits. I just bought a notepad at the NEX and a few stacks of 3x5 index cards. They are very helpful for studying. Also the NEX sells bags for carrying your books. I just used mine that I had leftover from VMI. Other than that, just but whatever you need to survive.
