Stuff to do in A-Pool

I just found out this morning that my wait in A-pool could be extended yet another month. Now, don't get me wrong, I love it here, the beach and bars are awesome. But I was just curious, does anyone know of anywhere to go skiing thats within the 350 mile bubble? I know its the south and its warmer, whatever, but I figure its worth getting ribbed a bit to ask.

As you guessed, you aren't going to get much skiing around Pensacola. The closest slopes will be Paoli Peaks in Indiana and Sugar and Beech Mountains in North Carolina. I think both of those are going to be more than 350 miles away.

I remember hearing about fake slopes in a place called Mentone, AL. Might want to check it out.

Yeah that was awesome this morning. Thanks, I've been here for about a month, so I'm starting to get the swing of this "all pay, no work" deal. And quite frankly, I LOVE IT. Up at 6:30 back in the rack at 8:00. I still can't wait to class up though.

Trust me man... I'm tryin to stay away as long as I possibly can. This whole IFS thing is abso-fvcking-lutely great.

Fly a bit, sleep, eat, drink, workout... football, frisbee and beaches... and do it over again next week. Yet alas, IFS is done next this coming Friday, and I've no money (too much beer, not enough paycheck) so I'll not get to fly for a while.

BTW.. how's the knee?

I just flew over Mentone, AL this weekend. There isn't any snow there.
