Supplemental test scoring

I'd like to first thank everyone for their help! Reading through this site, studying the various gouges, and prepping myself for the last week allowed me to fully prepare myself for the test (I hope!).

My concern, however, is how well I did on the aviation supplemental portion. I took the A3, which was all verbal. For some reason I messed up on the timing (a combination of not looking at the clock enough and taking too long reading the questions) and I had to randomly fill-in bubbles for the last 5 questions.

I've tried to find the answer with a quick search, but I was hoping someone could tell me how the aviation supplemental factors in with the scoring for the rest of the test. Does anyone know?

Also, my recruiter told me earlier that the ASTB, for DCO applicants (I'm going for Intel as a first choice, then Supply), only accounts for 5% of the total package (education accounts for 25%, work experience for 15%). Does this sound right? I'm curious to know the make-up of the other 55%.

Thanks in advance!

hey bob,

i was selected for Intel BDCP this july. I too did poorly on anything involving planes on the ASTB. I get the sense that what the board looks form Intel Officers is superior scoring on the academic portions (ie math, verbal).

Also dont worry about breaking your package into arbitrary percentages. As everyone on this site will tell you the wise men are interested in the whole person concept. this said, for a college kid like me i bet GPA and LOR's were the most important components of my app.

good luck to you
