Ooooo you just committed the ultimate sin, but you're new so no worries.

Don't ask "what your chances" or "how do you think this looks"? No one here knows your chances. Go to some of the May/June/July/August/September board threads and compare yourself to other applicants.

I did notice one thing though. Your OAR is a 32 and I thought the minimum to even be considered was a 40? You're prior enlisted though, so it may not be a big deal, but you may want to think about re-taking the OAR again.

If it were me, I'd boost my GPA and OAR. 32 was low when I applied in 2006 without a recession economy increasing competition.

so are you saying i could not get picked up with those stats

No one knows whether you will or won't get picked up with those stats. What we are saying is that with the economy the way it is, and basically everyone and their mom in the civilian world trying to get into OCS right now for ALL designators, the competition is pretty fierce for everyone.

Everyone is nervous about their own stats and doesn't think their stats are good enough compared to everyone else. But there is no way to tell how the board is going to decide and your best bet is to make your package as competitive as possible.

Just my 2 cents as a non-board member. I didn't know what the navy wanted when I applied, but did want to leave as little reason for anyone to say no as I could.

BigHurt with all due respects, I would like to point out something that you need to work on (even before you submit your package). We can't predict your chances for success, but occasionly we can predict failure!
As a Naval Officer, good writing skills, proper grammar, spelling & punctuation are a must.
Your initial post above starts out by misspelling the title. The rest of the post & your subsequent posts contain numerous errors in capitalization, spacing, punctuation, spelling (resent=recent). Good writing is vital, it is your personal introduction to the board who have to give thumbs up/down in a VERY competitive arena. First impressions are also vital!
I don't mean this to nitpick. I am an ex-ET2 who became an NA & retired after 22 as an O-5, without benefit of a college degree. I take great pride in seeing ex-enlisteds make it as a Naval Officer, whatever their specialty.

I wish you the best in your future career.:icon_birt

I just heard from an Officer Recruiter today that if you're active duty when you apply, that when you take the ASTB, the score doesn't count towards your application. I was surprised when he said this. I would check with your recruiter if this is true or not, but I couldn't tell by your post if you "are" on active duty or "were" active duty.
