If you have tried to acquire a tailhook for display in your home office, you know it is not an easy endeavor. Well now if you are okay with a replica it’s not so hard nor expensive. I recently worked with an entrepreneur who managed to print a 3D, modular tailhook from a picture I sent him. Check it out. Very impressive, weighs about 2 pounds but looks real!

Nice product. Don't mean to rain on your parade......but I have an A-4 tailhook on my wall at home, and yours is a little small. Did you intend to have it full-size, or just a replica?

I assume a polymer print, not metal?

Yes, much easier to ship and hang and unless you are holding it, you would never know the difference. And, at $150, way better than the $10K on eBay for an old beat up ‘hook. You don’t have to steal this one from the government.

As PT Barnum once said, “There’s a sucker born every minute”. Good to hear you’re satisfied with your purchase. BTW, no one steals tailhooks….we acquire them. I have a NEW A-6 tailhook and a used EA-6B tailhook and they are HEAVY. Please send the IGs to my home. I’ll be waiting.
