There are tons of posts and websites that give good gouge (help) on the exam. Go to your local bookstore, they should carry Arco books that give a good feel of whats to expect of the exam.

Links on this site offer additional assistance in finding help for the ASTB.

Part of what helped me keep a level head and do well is the fact that you don't need to do stellar on every section to get a good OAR score. You can place every question you aren't sure about into the one third of any given section you can miss and still get a respectable score. Just make sure you are prepared and don't put off studying for it so that you can walk away from every section knowing you got the majority of ever question right. Not studying for it would be the greatest mistake you can make.

Best advice you could get right there.

It's all about controlling the variables you can. You don't know what test you'll get/questions you'll be asked, so prepare/prepare/prepare. Study like crazy and go throught that spacial apperception stuff until it's as easy as addition. Preparing until you can't prepare any more will get you through that test and is a money strategy in getting thought flight school. Good luck.
