tech. vs. non tech

I have been talking to my OSO and he told me because I have a tech. major it will handle my low gpa. I have a 2.9 gpa with a dual degree in chemistry and physics. I just want a little feed back on this because I always see on this site with posts of 3.3 or higher gpa's but with finance degrees or business degrees worried about gpa's. Oh yeah this is for a flight contract.

As with any applicant, your field and GPA are just some of the factors they consider as part of the 'whole person'. Yes, a 2.9 in a tough dual-major program is better than a 2.9 in Feminist Dance History or something, but it's only part of the application. What else have you done besides class? Volunteer? Play a varsity sport? President of something?

2.9 in Theatre, I'm at MATSG-21 waiting to pickup API. Don't lose confidence, once you get in the door no one really gives a crap what your degree is in.

True that and nobody cares where you went to school either*. It's how you do from that point on at every stage.

*You'll bump into an occasional so-called ringknocker thinking they're special, but they get socially readjusted fairly quickly and are much better in past few decades now they are mixed gender. :p
