Just wanted to say thank you to this forum.
I've never posted before today, but I've searched this place to death leading up to my application. I received my final select for SNA and orders for OCS 8 September last week. So, call me a kissass if you must, but I figured I owed it to the regulars to just say thanks.

Thanks guys.
I'm from all over Jersey Bubba. Grew up in Roxbury, went to school near Atlantic City and I'm just North of Trenton near Phillipsburg now. I got my PPL and fly into TTN a lot. Cool place, but sometimes you have to wake the controllers up if you fly in early enough on the weekends. :)

Congrats brotha... where in NJ are you from? (Trenton right here)

What a minute...I thought the correct question from a bona fide NJ native was:

"You from Jersey? I'm from Jersey! WHAT EXIT?"

I have even tried it (just the "What exit?" part) on a few folks from Jersey and got an immediate number as a reply.

Back to regularly scheduled topic...

Congrats and way to use search!!! Any threads that were particularly useful?

It is standard... 7A. (Interestingly enough, NAS P-Cola is off of 7A on I-10 Eastbound)

I was working under the assumption that he might have lived off of that other highway.. you know, the Garden State Parkway. Those people don't understand the concept very well. You ask them what exit, and most times you get a "Not sure". WTF?

This one of course. Seriously, the threads in the required reading forum were real eye-openers. The ASTB gouge saved my bacon too.
"You from Jersey? I'm from Jersey! WHAT EXIT?"
Ah, yes. 9 or 10 depending on traffic. Kinda sad that we as a state can be categorized by one highway but whatever, there’s a lot sadder things going on here then just that.

Thank Christ there aren't Air Stations outside of Lakehurst here.:)
